Prysmian Group Electrical Technician in Abbeville, South Carolina
Job Description:
Locate and diagnose electrical and electronic malfunctions using test instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscope, PLC programmers and pc’s
Brief Summary of Primary Duties:
Regular and predictable attendance throughout the shift is an essential function of this position
Ability to analyzecomplex plans and requirements
Ability to work from drawings, rough sketches, diagrams, or general description of whatiswanted/needed
Ability to plan ownmethods, anticipate problemsinvolved and determine the best approach to overcomeunusualdifficulties
Expectations:
Abide by all rules and procedures
Make safety first priority
Report allsafetyincidents or issuesimmediately
Maintainclean work area
Any/All tasks assigned by supervisor
Specific Skills/Training Required
2 years associate degree or equivalent in electronics technology
Knowledge of theory and application on N.E.C., advance math, complicated electronic diagrams
PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens),A.C. drives, DC drives, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex electrical/electronic equipment/systems
Ability to utilize Maximo, SAP, micrometers, calipers, voltmeters, etc.
Hazardous Training
Education:
- High School/GED Diploma
Experience:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:
Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas
Hearing Protection required in posted areas
Wear supplied uniforms
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to stand 8 hours on concrete floors
Ability to bend/stoop to floor level for extensive periods of time
