Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team. You will be involved in a variety of construction projects including forming, framing, machine work, civil work, concrete finishing, and more. Our projects range from school foundations and institutional buildings to parks, hardscapes, and niche jobs involving heavy timber work and concrete forming. The ideal candidate is adaptable and has experience in multiple areas of construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform diverse carpentry tasks including forming, framing, machine work, civil work, and concrete finishing.

• Work on projects such as school foundations, institutional buildings, parks, hardscapes, and niche jobs.

• Handle heavy timber work, concrete forming, and excavation.

• Participate in municipal park projects, including forming, retaining walls, fence building, spray parks, and water lines.

• Engage in sanitary, sewer, and water work.

• Maintain a good team player attitude and adapt to various tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of construction experience.

• 2+ years of carpentry experience.

• Experience with concrete formwork.

• Experience with landscaping and hardscaping.

• Ability to get to the shop every morning.

• Adaptable to perform various tasks.

• Possess PPE and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction.

• Skills in pipelaying.

Work Environment

You will meet at the shop and carpool to the site or go straight to the site. Ideally, you should live in Abbotsford and be available by 6-6:30 am. Our project locations are mainly in the Valley, including Abbotsford, Langley, Surrey, and New Westminster, but can extend as far as Vancouver.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
