Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a System Engineer with a Top-Secret Clearance to support KMS and our government customer. This is an onsite opportunity at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.

Responsibilities & Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop/Sustain software or hardware solutions used during development, testing, delivery, and deployment of ARAT mission products based upon user needs in line with the Category (CAT) 1-5 policy.

  • Develop/Sustain software solutions to maintain security compliance, to include the application of DevSecOps pipelines that ensure security is accounted for up front. NOTE: This responsibility is jointly collaborated on with the ARAT Operations Center team to identify appropriate security compliance requirements.

  • Maintain regular communication with users (ARAT Teams and End Users) to document and prioritize new requirements and projects:

  • Assist in development of Capability Needs Statements (CNS) for new projects

  • Maintain individual project level backlogs

  • Maintain overall ARAT Project backlog

  • Coordinate with Special Projects and ARAT-IE (Infrastructure Enhancement) to transition new software or hardware solutions to sustainment and ensure integration into the ARAT enterprise design (when relevant/feasible).

  • Coordinate with Planning & Operations Branch to ensure appropriate funding is allocated on RDT&E contracts in support of current and upcoming development workloads.

  • Perform Updates and Lab testing of the Operational Flight Programming for the AN/APR-39C(V)1. NOTE: Future Sustainment of AN/APR-39E(V)2

  • Provide site administration and content management support for ARAT web platforms, including the unclassified and classified ARAT web portals, the ARAT SharePoint, Jira, GitLab, and Confluence.

  • Research and apply new software methodologies to existing applications and infrastructure to maintain pace with Industry practices.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required. An advanced degree is desirable.

  • Must have 3-5 years of demonstrated experience interacting with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, software requirements and design, and network design requirements.

  • Participates in the development of test strategies.

  • Solving engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned Solving networking problems (or managing the solution of communication interoperability problems) in the functional area to which assigned.

  • Networking Operations Center (NOC) experience working with SIPRNET, NIPRNET, Defense Research Engineering Network (DREN), DREN circuit installation activities with customer units, operation and configuration of CISCO routers, servers and firewalls.

  • At least A minimum of three (3) years working experience on installation, configuration, and management of KG Secure Encryption devices, configuration of Internet Protocol Security Encryption (IPSEC) and Secret security clearance and IAT I Certification AND is fully Information Assurance (IA) certified in accordance with IAW AR 25-2 and DoD 8570.01 M.

Security Clearance:

  • Top Secret clearance required.
