Job Title: Technical Course DeveloperJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Technical Course Developer to design and implement engaging training courses for both internal and external audiences. This role involves developing comprehensive training materials and working closely with subject matter experts to deliver high-quality educational content.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and implement innovative training courses for various skill levels.
Develop instructional guides for online courses.
Identify and plan appropriate instructional content design strategies and objectives.
Support the validation and verification process of Army training materials.
Apply industry standards to identify technical competencies for each program of study.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to determine course needs and appropriate delivery methods.
Develop and publish interactive multimedia course content for online delivery.
Manage technical course development products from inception to completion.
Determine, communicate, and manage the scope, requirements, goals, and timeline of training material projects.
Utilize effective needs analysis, course development, and evaluation skills.
Revise, rewrite, and structure content to meet learning needs.
Adapt instructional materials and create media to support learning.
Produce training videos that demonstrate product features.
Utilize visual design and coding skills to create multimedia content.
Research and maintain an understanding of teaching methods and tools.
Stay current with issues related to accessibility, compatibility, and emerging technologies.
Essential Skills
Experience in developing training materials and courses.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of course development documentation.
Bachelor's degree (preferred).
5 years of relevant technical course development experience.
Active Secret security clearance at the time of hire.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in Army technical course development (a plus).
Training Development Capability (TDC) experience (a plus).
Work Environment
This position is hybrid, requiring up to 3 days a week at our Aberdeen Proving Ground office. Full-time onsite presence is required during validation/verification events or as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.88/hr.
