Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to run and maintain automated screw machines. You will be responsible for loading and unloading raw materials, setting up the machine, and inspecting finished products before they move to the next workstation. Routine maintenance, including oil and coolant changes, will be part of your daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain automated screw machines.

• Load and unload raw materials.

• Set up the machine for operation.

• Inspect finished products before sending them to the next workstation.

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil and coolant changes.

• Sweep, clean, mop, pack, and unpack as needed.

• Move raw materials and remove finished products from bins.

• Monitor the machine during the operator's break without making adjustments.

Essential Skills

• Experience with machine operation.

• Proficiency with hand tools.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Minor maintenance skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to complete a math and mechanical aptitude test.

Work Environment

This position is located in a manufacturing environment. You will work side by side with an assigned Machine Operator and follow their direction. Safety is our number one priority.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $19.00/hr.
