Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $20 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Laser Operator:

• This position is responsible for setting up, programming and operating the laser for production purposes.

• Operating under the priorities of safety first, quality second, and productivity third. 

• Run jobs as assigned by supervisor

• Able to use measuring equipment such as height gauge, calipers, tape measure, etc.

• Keep work area clean and organized

• Enter order information (including scrap/rework) correctly into the computer system

• Accurately edit or enter all laser programs to meet customer specifications

• Able to set up machine in a timely manner

• Keep laser machine templates updated and organized

• Complete routine laser maintenance independently

• Look at prints critically to find mistakes

• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals 

• Ability to evaluate in-process and finished parts for flaws and/or imperfections

• Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to.

Job requirements:

• Post high school education in manufacturing/CNC a plus

• Good interpersonal communication skills

• Effective problem-solving skills, detail oriented.

• Self-motivated, takes initiative.

• Job shop environment.

• Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily productive/technical nature

• Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis

• Stand for duration of shift

• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials

• Continuous bending, twisting, pulling and pushing 

• Background check required
