Mobile Engineer

Location: Albany, NY

Pay Rate: $42.63 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple locations. This role requires expertise in at least one trade (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations) while being multi-skilled in other areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper function of facility systems while adhering to safety and maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.

• Travel between multiple facilities to ensure operational efficiency.

• Oversee facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, and inventory control.

• Maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts for optimal performance.

• Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation.

• Ensure compliance with policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

• Monitor contractor work for quality and cost-effectiveness.

• Perform periodic tool and instrument inventory checks.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment while following all safety procedures.

• Identify and resolve potential safety hazards.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 5-7 years of experience in commercial building systems maintenance and repair.

• Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.

• EPA 608 Type II Certification required.

• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPA 608 Universal Certification.

• Two years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.

Pay Details: $42.63 per hour
