Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Secret cleared Data Engineer to support a smaller federal client of ours remotely on a Navy/Coast Guard contract. This candidate may need to travel around once a quarter to the D.C. and Kearneysville, WV areas for necessary client meetings. The main task at hand is to design, implement, and fully transition from an on-premise Oracle Database to an Azure Dataverse Solution. The day-to-day will include:

- Administer and maintain Weblogic and Oracle database systems

- Migrate from on premise database to Microsoft Dataverse cloud solution

- Develop and implement database policies and procedures

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks

- Implement and enforce security measures to protect the integrity of the database

- Manage user access and permissions

- Implement, maintain, and test database backup and recovery strategies

- Lead the migration and transition of data to cloud-based database solutions.

Skills and Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance or higher

• Security+ certification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar

• Experience with Azure Data Factory

• Strong understanding of an ETL database transition

• Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics

• Comfortable with scripting

• Firm foundation in understanding with different types of data, specifically structured and unstructured data migration - Experience in migrating and transitioning data to cloud-based solutions

• Experience with Microsoft Dataverse Suite null
