Withum is currently seeking an Assistant General Counsel that can be located remotely or in any of our offices nationwide. In this role, you will work directly with Withum’s General Counsel to assist with a wide variety of legal work ranging from contract management, licensing, and subpoena responses, to overseeing litigation, data privacy, and regulatory matters. to name a few.Withum’s brand is a reflection of our people, our culture and our strength. But our commitment goes beyond our clients as we continue to live the Withum Way, promoting personal and professional growth for all team members, clients, and surrounding communities. How you’ll spend your time: Draft, revise and negotiate engagement letters, master service agreements, and various other contracts with clients, vendors, and other third partiesAnalyze and negotiate various types of agreements to identify risk considerations and potential exposure to the firm.Work closely and collaboratively with General Counsel to develop and implement key legal processes and systems corporate wide, conduct legal research and analysis, and oversee clerical tasks as neededInterface with partners and team members to provide support on various contracts with clients and vendors.Managing the firm’s response to subpoenas directly with third parties or through outside counselMonitor and provide advice on laws impacting the profession, including, but not limited to privacy and data security requirementsAdditional ad hoc projects as neededThe kinds of people we want to talk to have many of the following: J.D from an accredited law school with 6-8 years of experience of law firm experience preferred, litigation or prior in-house experience a plusAdmission to state bar in good standing. Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environmentHighly organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects independentlyTrack record of establishing solid relationships, polished and highly personableExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in MS Office SuiteDocument management software experience; preferred
