We are looking for a Process Engineer, Sales to join our Application and Process Technology team in Allschwil.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Process design of equipment and complete plants for separation and purification technology with support from Process Engineering department

• Engage with clients in the ECA (Europe, Africa and Caspian) region to understand their unique needs and challenges and propose sustainable solutions that optimize resource utilization, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact

• Lead the tendering process, cost calculations, carefully assessing project requirements and preparation of competitive bids

• Customer contact and customer visits

• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve win-win outcomes

• Preparation of marketing material and training material for Front sales

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies by participating in conferences and exhibitions, and promote Sulzer

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Master’s degree in Chemical / Process Engineering

• Process Engineering: Solid understanding in process design of separation and purification systems (e.g. distillation, evaporation, extraction, absorption)

• Relevant experience in the chemical and/or specialty chemicals and/or bio-based industry as a process engineer, applications, or technical sales engineer

• Experience with cost calculations is a plus but not a must

• Experience with preparing tenders is a plus but not a must

• Microsoft Office, proficiency in tools such as ProII, Chemcad, Aspen Plus or HYSYS, or similar process simulation software

• Fluent English. German, French or other languages is a great benefit

• Collaborative spirit

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with clients, understand their needs, and articulate technical solutions

• Analytical mindset to assess process designs critically

• Ability to bridge technical aspects with business goals

Location : We are based in Allschwil. This is a great growing place and is just next to the nice city of Basel, accessible via bus and tram.
