The Opportunity:
Join KBR’s dynamic MSP Aerospace division and directly contribute to the success of exciting defence projects for the Commonwealth of Australia.
As a key member under the Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting all commercial aspects of project delivery with a primary focus on contracts and agreements management.
The commercial specialist will work collaboratively across Operations, Finance, and Project Controls in order to deliver accurate and timely information to support effective decision making.

Responsibilities:
Support projects by overseeing all commercial aspects of contracts and addressing client concerns promptly and effectively.
Assist throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-bid and bid stages to delivery and project closeout, ensuring all commercial documentation is developed and internally approved.
Play a key role in due diligence, subcontractor engagement, and managing subcontractor relationships.
Contribute to the negotiation, review, and management of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders, ensuring risk mitigation and maximising opportunities.
Coordinate export controls, ITAR compliance, and manage intellectual property and technical data in line with approved plans.
Support contract performance reviews, ensuring contract requirements are met and interfacing with internal teams for compliance.
Manage project commercial risks and ensure alignment with client internal policies, including finance, insurance, procurement, and project controls.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or Finance or demonstrated relevant professional experience
5+ years of experience in Defence and Government commercial management or procurement
Experience with execution, management and development of ASDEFCON Templates
Demonstrated experience in negotiation and support
Well-developed communication skills
Experienced user of MS Office products.
Desirable:
- Experience with implementation of and compliance with export controls and the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
