Microsoft Corporation Data Center Project Manager - Compliance in Amsterdam, Netherlands

As a Data Center Project Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core administartive focus on documentation with contract reviewals and multiple actionable items. You will act as the single point of contact for all datacenter metro level audit and compliance projects, initiatives, and ongoing operational activities. You will spend 25% of the time on the floor ensuring metro wise standards are maintained within all DCs and that we are compliant with cleanliness, stowage, 5S, in process work standards, life safety, and others. You will empower a culture of safety and security in global datacenter operations by complying with CO+I’s safety programs and policies and completing compliance knowledge assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular site inspections for audit readiness and compliance and lead corrective action plans on gaps and shortfalls identified through assessments.

  • Implement strategies that aid overall compliance of the Data Center Metro, ensure the successful onboarding of new facilities, and continuously improve operational efficiencies linked to the compliance and audit program.

  • Complete quarterly Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance control including tools audit tasks, access review tasks, wireless scan tasks, Critical Environments and EH&S site assessments, ensuring all compliance standards are met.

  • Liaise with procedural document owners to resolve gaps identified through assessments, audits, or other observations and ensure all historical and current auditable documentation (physical and digital) is maintained in accordance with Microsoft document retention policies.

  • Manage and maintain all environmental, emergency, and business continuity plans/documents for the Datacenter Metro.

  • Developing positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND significant years industry experience

  • OR significant industry exposure and college course work.

Preferred Qualifications/certificates and attributes:

  • Possess a strong record of accomplishment in operational excellence.

  • Build productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners.

  • Experience in managing Compliance in large-scale mission critical infrastructure environments.

  • Articulate communicator and influencer who is credible, self-assured, and highly capable of negotiating successful outcomes with key business leaders.

  • Have strong technical skills and the ability to explain complex issues and requirements in an easily understood manner.

  • Apply previous learning and ideas to new situations, projects, and teams, developing creative solutions to manage risk.

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen that includes experience working with leaders at all levels of the organization.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, non-business hours, or other scenarios required by the flow of operations.

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
