Your new role...

Warner Bros. Discovery Sports has a fantastic opportunity within the sports team in Hilversum in the role of Junior Editor In Chief, working for our Eurosport channels and our premium streams on Discovery+ and HBO Max.

In this role you'll oversee the production of our content across all of our platforms and also have the opportunity to work on major sporting events such as the Paris 2024 Olympics, the biggest cycling races, Grand Slam Tennis, Winter Sports and UFC.

Sporting events can take place in the evenings and weekends which means flexible working hours. During these productions, it is highly desirable to be present in our office in Hilversum Media Park .

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Responsible for the content of the local Eurosport productions

  • Developing and implementing editorial strategies across cycling, tennis, Winter Sports and UFC.

  • Creating running orders for the (studio) broadcasts and making sure everyone knows exactly what is expected from him/her

  • Ensuring consistency and uniformity across all our platforms

  • Work closely with editors and other (international) team members and ensure that the content meets our high standards and the expectations of our viewers

  • Managing the editorial team, freelancers and external production companies

  • Managing and optimizing the production budget

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Sports enthusiast with broad sports knowledge and interest

  • Extensive editorial experience

  • Perfect command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written

  • Able to provide constructive feedback and to work with your team to continuously develop and improve

  • You are creative and a connector and can work well and effectively in a team

  • Confidence, with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with editorial tools and video editing software
