Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for software design, documentation, verification, and validation, used in evaluating, testing, and processing data acquisition systems. The candidate will travel to secured locations to help test and integrate the software into the hardware. The role also includes performing technical reviews, design analysis, development, and selection of hardware and mission-critical software.
Responsibilities
Design, document, verify, and validate software for data acquisition systems.
Travel to secured locations to test and integrate software with hardware.
Perform technical reviews, design analysis, and development of hardware and mission-critical software.
Integrate software onto hardware.
Develop, test, and document software code.
Support installation into higher-level assemblies.
Essential Skills
Strong Embedded Software Development Background
Experience with C++ and Embedded C
Proficiency in Embedded Linux
Networking experience
Full life cycle software development
Active secret clearance
Experience with networking protocols, software development, embedded systems, validation protocols, and integration
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BS CS)
Work Environment
The candidate will work onsite with 3-4 software team members and will travel to secured locations where the hardware has been developed. Testing and integration of software will take place offsite. The role involves supporting classified programs on a national level in the maritime industry. The candidate must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
