Eaton Corporation Assembler- 2nd Shift (LVA) in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembler- 2nd Shift (LVA) for the Low Voltage Assembly department. This position is based at our Arden, NC location.

Shift Hours: 3:30pm to 2:00am Monday - Thursday

The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour, plus a $2 / hour increase for 2nd shift.

What you’ll do:

• Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.

• Determines necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.

• Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals. Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.

• May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.

• Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.

• Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach. Maintains records as required.

• Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical/Electrical background

Position Criteria:

• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead

• Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams

• Proven history of safe work habits

• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision

• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.

• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
