The Department of Theatre Arts and Dance in the College of Liberal Arts, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice, Academic Professional Track (formerly NTT)..Teach courses in costume design, stage makeup, makeup for the camera, and special topics in areas of expertise.Mentor BFA Design and Technology students in costume design.Aid in the recruitment efforts of the Design and Technology area..MFA in Costume Design or related theatre design field.Experience in costume crafts, cosplay, textiles, fabric modification, and costume production/manipulation.A willingness to explore new and innovative ways of costume design visualization through digital rendering and/or 3D modeling.Experience with machine aided workflows including 3D modeling and 3D printing.A strong emphasis in a secondary design/technology/management area (lighting/scenery/sound/management).
