IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking aSenior Engineer for Joint Command and Control.Potential to Telecommute: Work locations are in the DC metropolitan area with opportunities for situational telework.
Provide technical expertise for warfighting capability development, integration, and transition of new technologies that close time-critical gaps in high-priority, multi-component warfighting missions.
Daily work is conducted as an integrated team member of the Multi-Domain Joint Operations (MDJO) Directorate under the Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Mission Capabilities (DCTO(MC)) within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).
Job Responsibilities:
Provide subject-matter expertise in warfighting technologies and capabilities for JADC2.
Deliver technical assessments and analysis to accelerate C2 capability development and delivery to the operational community.
Identify gaps in C2 doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P), concepts, technologies, and processes to enable JADC2.
Provide technical expertise to inform mission engineering studies, prototype development, experimentation, and global integrated wargaming.
Ensure capability development, prototyping, experimentation, and analytic initiatives adequately address priority JADC2 gaps in order to accelerate delivery of capability to the warfighter.
Education and General Experience:
Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
At least 20 years of relevant work experience.
Familiarity with ongoing JADC2 efforts within the DoD.
Technical expertise in cutting edge technologies and application of technologies into new and innovative warfighting capabilities supporting JADC2.
In-depth technical knowledge and experience with advanced DoD weapon systems and their capabilities, concept of operations, and concepts of employment.
Technical expertise in system capabilities, performance, and operations in at least two of the following areas: land, sea, air, and space platforms; offensive, defensive, kinetic and directed energy weapons; sensors for ISR and fire control; cyberwarfare; communication networks; electromagnetic spectrum management to include EW and 5G; application of automation; command, control, and battle management; fires close air support, long range fires, targeting, air and missile defense.
Executive presence with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop high-quality, professional briefings and written reports to succinctly capture key issues for DoD decision-makers.
Self-starter, able to take initiative and accomplish work independently with minimal guidance.
Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
OSD, Joint Staff, and/or Service Staff experience is desired.
Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP).
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of one or more of the following initiatives: Advanced Battle Management System, Project Convergence, Project Overmatch, or Assault Breaker II.b
