Description
Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world? It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Financial Analyst to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, is interested in analyzing new business opportunities, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions to business questions.
The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial by nature, a strategic thinker and have the ability to work with large data sets that provides intelligence for key decision making. This role requires a self-starter, keen attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies (including statistical concepts) and be able to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions.
Key job responsibilities
• Ability to work with a variety of data sources and identify incomplete or inaccurate data.
• Identifies root causes of data issues, escalates discrepancies, fixes data where possible or partners to deliver a solution.
• Develop financial benchmarking analysis of key competitors.
• Ability to create financial dashboards and streamline data.
• Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of finance experience
Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
Experience using data to influence business decisions
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
