Application Consultant, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Engage in application development and complex problem solving with several open-source and emerging technologies. Work with both internal and external client-facing application development. Develop frontend web technologies and frameworks for customer applications by using programming languages and frameworks like JavaScript (React JS, Node JS, React Native) and TypeScript. Build and connect databases such as Cloudant, MongoDB, IBM DB2, Couch DB, and My SQL to customer applications. Use Test Driven Development concepts like Unit Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing to develop and build application code. Build applications on Cloud Platforms using various deployment models and packages and deploy Cloud Native applications such as containerizations and Red Hat OpenShift. Increase the performance of a computer program or algorithm in terms of handling complexity, reusability, systematic memory use through data structures. Build automation within a CI/CD pipeline to manage source code using Travis and Docker S2I. Build backend Microservices and RESTful APIs to connect various applications.
