The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for executing sales and strategic account strategies to grow revenue in line with annual and multi-year growth plans for new unit, unit upgrade and replacement, and aftermarket business streams for the Ansimag, HMD, Sunflo, Marelli and Sundyne Pump & Compressor product lines.
The ASM will work directly with named accounts as well as coordinate sales activities through select channel partners in the territory. A big part of the role will be to assess and optimize routes to market to reach the target customer segments with Sundyne's value propositions and commercial messages. The ASM will also be responsible for improving customer service levels and relationships, resulting in growth for the company.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Delivers booking targets & growth strategies and manages bookings forecasting for assigned territories reporting into Regional Sales Manager
Secure all open opportunities utilizing our selling processes
Working with channel partners to identify current or underserved accounts and develop selling strategies to optimize customer penetration including direct interaction with end users and channel partners.
Provides input on customer solutions & services offerings related to enhancing reliability and operational effectiveness for products
Develops detailed plans to deliver bookings & growth for territory within region in alignment with strategic plan
Works with internal organization to ensure that channel partners have the skills & knowledge needed to sell our products and services effectively
Stay informed on industry technology trends and standards
Works closely with RSMs, ASMs and facilities to understand customer requirements and ensure provision of value-add solutions
Provides technical descriptions and content for proposals
Booking, forecasting & reporting and pipeline management
Key account relationship management
Responsible for safety, ethics and other legal compliance requirements in alignment with Sundyne's policy
Sell a full range of Sundyne pump and compressor products, supplies and services; requires technical and consultative-selling skills
Develop and maintain prospect and customer list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads in our CRM system
Works with product line managers and internal services organizations to ensure that channel/customers have the skills/knowledge needed to sell our services effectively.
Ability to close open opportunities, and utilize the sales process effectively
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization (internal/external)
Skills & Abilities - Required:
Experience selling in the chemical, industrial, refineries, O&G markets and general industries accounts
Channel/Distributor/EPC/Licensor experience
Experienced commercial negotiator
Presentation and customer relations skills
Experience in CRM, and other required software such as PowerPoi t, Excel and Word
