Position Description

Sundyne is seeking a SR Data Engineer on-site in our Pune, India office. Responsibilities will be to lead the global develop and enhance our existing SSIS Data Analyst Cubes and Data Set solutions along with data mart and data warehouse development and establish the best path forward for the next generation of Data/AI tool sets. Assist with the development of comprehensive dashboard solutions that provide our business leaders with the data and insights they need to make decisions and service our customers with excellence. Support Existing Dashboards and Help develop and Implement future global Data Analytics roadmap with machine learning. The primary responsibility of the Data Engineer is to create and provide business value from corporate data assets. Build/support multi-dimensional & tabular data models using SSIS, SSRS and other Microsoft technologies to enhance our Data Warehouse Utilize SQL to curate and query large data sets, perform analyses, and create custom views. Make essential technical and strategic changes to improvise present business intelligence systems. The Data Engineer is expected to maintain expertise across an application technology stack (Microsoft SQL) as well as a technology domain (BI/DW and Data Analytics) Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights. Evaluate the effectiveness and capability of new data sources and data gathering techniques. Have the ability to embrace and leverage new technologies while working effectively with other information technology professionals and business users to ensure that the data solutions are stable, efficient and responsive to business needs. Help Lead the master data management governance and processes with the strategic and operational definition design, implementation, and continuous innovation across systems and data sets. Ensure Data Security, Protection, Integrity, and Sensitivity Perform tests and validate all data flows and prepare all ETL processes according to business requirements and incorporate all business requirements into all design specifications. Documents all technical and system specifications documents for all ETL processes and perform unit tests on all processes and prepare required programs and scripts. Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models, data flows, and Transformation. Ensure accuracy of data thru testing and Business QA processes Study, analyze and understand business requirements in context to business intelligence and Transform business requirements into technical publications. Develop algorithms and models to mine large data sets

Skills & Abilities Master's degree in data engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields within advanced data and analytics 10 + years Data Engineer using SQL Server, TSQL and SSIS Must understand Relational and Dimensional database modeling. Must exhibit a high level of mastery of the Microsoft BI Stack, including: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, DAX SharePoint, PowerPivot, etc Strong skill set with Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX Strong understanding of tier one Manufacturing ERP System data (JDE, SAP, Syteline, Navision, ETC) Must have proven experience in ETL. Experience in Tools to support Data Migration from one or more Source(s) to Destination with application of transformation rules. Advanced skills in Microsoft Business Intelligence applications Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics with a proven track record of creating complex dashboards and ability to conduct analytics. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (advanced features), Word, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, Share Point Advanced experience using SQL to extract data, understand data structures, run queries, and analyze data in a data warehouse environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to synthesize findings from analyses into clear, concise communications for business leadership Team player attitude and strong ability to collaborate with colleagues across the globe Record of consistently meeting deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects
