Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical and some mechanical experience to join our team at a highly automated manufacturing facility. The emphasis is on electrical troubleshooting, and proof of electrical training is essential. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical components, conveyors, and high-speed rotary equipment, all of which communicate to PLCs.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs on automated machinery.
Work with high precision rotary equipment and tight tolerances.
Handle electrical systems, including 480v, single-phase, and three-phase motors/drives.
Utilize base PLC experience for inputs/outputs.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Ensure permanent resolution of issues to prevent recurring problems.
Follow applicable codes and standards (NEC).
Adhere to OSHA safety disciplines.
Maintain knowledge of and experience with PLC control systems and ladder logic.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Skilled tradesperson in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and PLC experience.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls, PLCs, VFDs.
Understanding of NFPA 70E and the National Electrical Code.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or proof of GED required.
Associates degrees preferred; licenses, certifications, or verifiable training accepted.
High-speed manufacturing experience is essential.
Technical degree highly preferred.
Experience with testing or building control panels is a plus.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs online is a plus.

Work Environment
Our large, climate-controlled facility spans roughly 16 acres. The position requires working a 12-hour night shift, with initial training on a day shift for 2-3 months. Night shift hours are 6:30pm - 6:30am on a 2,2,3 schedule, with an average of 48 hours per week. PPE including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, and uniforms are provided. Employees must bring their own tools initially, with specialty tools and measurement tools provided by the company. Contractors have opportunities to convert to permanent employees based on performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Asheboro, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
