Robert Half Procurement Specialist in Ashland, Ohio

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in Ashland, Ohio. The role involves managing purchasing orders, tracking supplies, and handling other administrative tasks associated with the procurement department. It requires familiarity with entering and managing Purchase Orders (POs) in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically J.D. Edwards system.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process purchase orders using the assigned ERP system

• Monitor the status of purchase orders to ensure timely arrival

• Respond to inquiries from customers and suppliers regarding order status

• Handle requests for changes or cancellations of orders in an efficient manner

• Compile, verify, and maintain requests for materials and track inventory

• Conduct administrative duties as required by the procurement department

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of purchases and stocks

• Perform regular audits to ensure all invoices are accurately entered and properly accounted for

• Collaborate with other departments to understand their material requirements, address their issues, and update them on the status of their orders

• Use JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Data Entry, Purchase Orders, Customer Service, Purchasing Materials, Track Inventory skills for effective execution of tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software

• Demonstrated skills in data entry

• Experience with managing and processing purchase orders

• Strong customer service abilities

• Knowledge of purchasing materials procedures and best practices

• Ability to track inventory effectively

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement role

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to procurement strategies

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

• Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records

• Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
