Description:

Sterile Processing Tech - Full-time - Evenings - 2:30p- 11p - OR - St. Mary's Hospital, GA

Position Purpose:

The Sterile Processing Tech will work in the OR Department at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens GA.

What you will do:

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for handling daily activities of sterilizing devices, tools, and equipment used in surgical procedures.

What you will need:

Education : Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program or Surgical Technology program. Must be able to read and write English.

Experience: Two years experience in another Central Sterile Processing Area preferred.

Special Qualifications : Knowledgeable in basic aseptic techniques, knowledgeable of the Sterilization process of equipment and supplies and knowledgeable of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies. Reasonably self-motivated, has the ability to work independently.
