Job Description :

Truist Securities’ Analyst Program begins with up to seven weeks of classroom instruction that consists of an introduction to capital markets, products and services, accounting, corporate finance, systems and financial modeling training designed to give Analysts all the tools they will need to be successful. After the classroom training, Analysts join a business group and play a meaningful role in supporting senior investment banking professionals.

The analyst will join the Structured Credit Delivery (SCD) team. SCD supports Working Capital Solutions and Asset Securitization groups within Truist Securities’ Corporate & Investment Bank. Product offerings include: Accounts Receivable Securitization, Receivable Purchase Programs, Supply Chain Finance Programs, and Warehouse Facilities.

The SCD team underwrites credit products to new and existing clients and actively manages the existing portfolio to meet client needs while also ensuring appropriate risk/return strategies. The group (i) underwrites lead and non-lead opportunities across investment grade, sponsor-owned, and leveraged transactions (ii) and executes amendments, refinancings, and ancillary credit product approvals. Teammates are responsible for ongoing client dialogue, including product partner opportunity identification where appropriate. Additional duties include actively managing portfolio risks through risk rating integrity, annual client reviews, watchlist management, and amendments/waivers, as well as executing compliance, audit, and regulatory guidelines and reviews. The group will also be responsible for early identification of emerging credit problems and industry trends in order to initiate risk mitigation actions and ensure appropriate capital allocation.

The Credit Delivery Analyst position is typically a two-year position. At the end of the two-year period, Analysts may be asked to remain in the role for an additional year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analysis and underwriting related to transactions, amendments, modifications, and other credit products for new and existing clients as part of deal teams.

  • Authors and creates credit product approval documents and presentations with an initial recommendation and credit view.

  • Creates and utilizes analytical financial models, including financial projections, and financial analysis of historical and projected cash flows.

  • Performs research and analysis on companies, industries, and transactions in support of both client activities and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Supports Directors, VPs, and Associates in day-to-day management of the portfolio with responsibilities including financial statement spreads, covenant compliance analysis and other activities as directed.

  • Works closely with Directors, VPs, and Associates in the preparation of on-time and high-quality annual reviews, renewals, and amendments. More experienced analysts may be responsible for completing entire annual reviews on assigned clients.

  • Maintains active ownership and timely processing of risk ratings within own portfolio and as needed across the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completed BA/BS degree with a scheduled graduation date of December 2024 or May/June 2025.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong work ethic, competitive drive, and time management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with coursework in accounting or finance preferred.

  • 1 year of experience in underwriting and portfolio management.
