Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the accounts payable department's operations, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices and maintaining strong relationships with vendors while also supporting some of the internal control functions of the Travel and Entertainment process

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage Accounts Payable Operations: Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice verification, processing, and payment. Support the account reconciliation process where needed

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train the accounts payable team (both Latin America internal resource as well as Accenture in Bangalore and Dalian), ensuring high performance and professional development.

  • Vendor Relations: Maintain and build strong relationships with vendors, by reconciliating and resolving any payment issues promptly.

  • Compliance: Ensure all payments comply with company policies, legal regulations, and tax requirements.

  • Process Improvement: Identify, document and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable department.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on accounts payable activity, aging reports, and other metrics for senior management.

  • Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounts payable systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and fully utilized.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to accounts payable.

  • Travel and Entertainment: Lead the internal review and audit of the T&E reports submitted for reimbursement.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • 3+ years of account payable managerial experience in a large multinational company

  • Experience in US GAAP accounting and reporting

  • Microsoft Excel advanced user

  • Ability to use a variety of software programs and tools to analyze and work with large data sets and accomplish tasks efficiently

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to research issues in a complex accounting structure to resolve problems; detail-oriented, yet able to identify issues and grasp concepts at broader level

  • Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to multi-task while working with a variety of individuals in both team and self-directed environments

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with all levels of management

  • Ability to work within defined time constraints and within deadlines during month end financial close while driving longer-term projects to successful completion

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Interaction/presentations with senior management

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud and Smartview query tools

  • Experience working in a shared service center environment
