Deluxe Chief Accounting Officer in Atlanta, Georgia

R esponsible for managing the accounting operations, financial reporting, financial systems, and shared services; ensuring the integrity of the Company's financial data and reporting; enforcing the corporate accounting policies and procedures with GAAP and SEC requirements; driving continuous improvement and development of the financial staff and processes; and, teaming with the CFO and other senior team members to continually evaluate and provide strategic business insights into Deluxe’s business units.

  • Provide leadership and coordination of company’s internal and external reporting functions. Ensure that an adequate system of internal controls surrounding the company’s financial reporting is in place and effectively operating.

  • Ensure company accounting procedures and policies conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Lead financial system improvements to ensure the accuracy and availability of financial reports for use by the business.

  • Identify and implement improvements to the Company’s shared services structure, creating a Centers of Excellence (COE) structure leveraging best practices and making sure that the team is engaged appropriately to drive the highest value work.

  • Enhance the financial performance of the company by analyzing and interpreting financial data and reporting to senior management.

  • Direct and coordinate the company’s monthly and annual financial closing and internal reporting processes.

    Basic Qualifications (BQs)

    Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 10 years of related experience or Master’s degree and 8 years of related experience.

Strong knowledge of account standard such as GAPP & IFRS. Experience leading, developing and managing teams.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

Education and Experience: Masters Degree. CPA. 15 years of related experience including global experience in a public corporation as a Controller,

Group Controller or Assistant Controller including operations accounting, revenue recognition and M&A. 7 years of management experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
