How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Specialist for Crew Tech Business Initiatives leads the development of projects focusing on unplanned business needs driving technology changes. The position reports to the Manager – Crew Tech Strategic Support, and will partner with other divisions (including IT, Finance, IFS, FOP, OCC, OAP, ODS, HR, Corporate Security) to drive operational efficiency improvements through improvement of existing and development of new Crew tools. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

  • Workdirectly with other Crew Technology Product Managers, Product Owners andbusiness owners, to efficiently move technology products through the fullsoftware design life cycle (from process mapping to scoping throughimplementation)

  • Manage BAUand IT Risk related projects supporting technology reliability and consistentuser access

  • Set andmaintain development standards that deliver the baseline for consistent, highquality technology products

  • AssistProduct Owners with organizing and clarifying business requirements along withprioritizing among all projects and initiatives

  • Work withBusiness and IT to scope work, gather technical requirements, and definedeliverables

  • Helpallocate and balance technical and business resources needed to complete scopedwork based on business requirements

  • Create aneffective and coherent communication and reporting strategy to drivetransparency and accountability into the technology development process

  • Support go-live anddeployment of projects (occasionally requiring after hours support onnights/weekends)

  • Effectivelycommunicate cross divisionally and to senior leaders

  • Promotesafety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-timeopportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you witheducational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce.

  • This position requires you to work for 2-3 alternatingsemesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online orin-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay yourgraduation by 1-2 semesters.

  • Rotations: Summer 2025, Spring 2026, Fall 2026

  • Strong leadership skills, presentation skills, writtenand oral communication skills, positive attitude and able to manage changesuccessfully in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be strategic, dynamic, detail-oriented andimpactful. The ideal candidate should be an analytical thinker, self-starterand quick learner

  • Must have prior experience managing multiple projectssimultaneously, ranging from large budget initiatives to smaller end-to-endprojects

  • Required to coach and deliver feedback for developmentalpurposes

  • Proven track record of successfully working in across-departmental team environment, delivering results on time and on budget

  • Must have strong business acumen and must have excellentcommunication skills with senior management, employees, FAA Reps, unionofficials, vendors, customers

  • Must be open to feedback from, andprioritize the needs of, a diverse set of stakeholders

  • Demonstrable experience with conflict resolution, problemsolving and have the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy

  • Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, andcommunicate to all levels within the organization

  • Must have the flexibility and availability to travel, aswell as to perform periodic after-hours and weekend work

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self,others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high schoolequivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of ageand has authorization to work in the United States.
