About the Team: Our Commercial Vehicle Solutions division is seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our team. The team oversees CVS's activity at our plants for the Americas. What you can look forward to as a Principal Accountant:

• Ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of processes in scope, e.g. creation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements, provision development - pensions, tax, deferred taxes - , P&L and balance sheet postings which are not part of the ASC service based on IFRS regulations, tax and local GAAP in line with group accounting guidelines, closing procedure and timing, capitalization process, business partner for GL, AR, AP, FA processes (interface to ASC, Provision calculation, credit management, etc.), communication with in- and external auditors, e.g. balances, clarification, internal controls, closing procedure and processes, intercompany reconciliation/support, notes, incl. improvement identification, development and execution for RU T-FRD and cross divisional (I-FRD)

• Support process optimization on local RU side to increase closing and data quality/speed/accuracy

• Support for M&A projects, plant closings QR updates and tax audits

• Oversee and manage escalations for dispute resolution

• Evaluate company practices, policies and procedures for closing processing

• Develop/adapt processes according to group guidelines and local legal requirements also across the organization, e.g. regional tax, treasury and controlling

• Conduct month-end, quarterly and year-end closing based on group schedule

• Consider cost and process optimization to reduce running/operation costs

• Work in team to align processes and foster standardization

• First escalation level for heterogeneous targets between involved parties e.g. RU, Global and ASC

• Initiate regular exchange with local RUs to discuss/ validate performance

Your profile as a Principal Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a strongly related discipline

• 6+ years plus of experience in financial roles

• Strong understanding of the major processes and functions across the business

• Experience should cover a range of disciplines within finance, e.g. controllership, audit, Treasury, Tax, Systems, etc.

• Strong analytical skills

• Action-oriented individual with integrity and trust who will not compromise values

• Good motivator and effective communicator who functions well in an international matrix organization
