Nick Corieri with Robert Half in Syracuse is offering a role in the manufacturing industry, located in Auburn, New York, United States. We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will provide high-level support, drive cost accounting processes, and handle both high level and day-to-day accounting tasks. The role entails working within a small team, contributing to the monthly close processes, and conducting various reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level support to the accounting team

• Drive cost accounting processes within the manufacturing industry

• Handle both high-level and day-to-day accounting tasks as part of a small team

• Contribute to the monthly close processes

• Perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations

• Ensure accurate journal entries in the general ledger

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Apply understanding of the manufacturing industry and Activity-Based Costing (ABC)

• Use NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting functions

• Maintain an ownership mentality, demonstrating analytical skills and process ownership.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficiency in using General Ledger and Journal Entries.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

• Previous work experience in the Manufacturing Industry.

• Understanding of Activity Based Costing (ABC) and Cost Accounting.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Demonstrated understanding of financial regulations and standards.
