Responsibilities

About the Role:

As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in creating a positive and efficient experience. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks related to patient intake, ensuring our patients receive the care they need with ease and understanding.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and Registering Patients: Warmly welcoming patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.

  • Managing Patient Accounts: Collecting co-pays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances, processing payments, and reconciling daily transactions.

  • Navigating Insurance: Verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining necessary referrals and pre-authorizations for tests and procedures, and answering patient questions about their coverage.

  • Scheduling Appointments : Efficiently scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and managing appointment confirmations and cancellations.

  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Answering patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive and supportive experience for every patient.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: One year of customer service experience is required; two years preferred. Healthcare or Call Center experience is highly desirable!

Pay Range

$21.09 - $27.32 /hour
