You will execute transportation operations in term of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements, and policies compliance. You will work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions, and execution. You will be responsible for activities such as transport planning (load planning, route planning), track and trace, proof of delivery management, claims management, invoice management, compliance execution (HSE, quality, risk management), tenders support, and third-party performance management.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Manage internal operational Excellence Projects for Customer Services & Logistics Team - manage comms, engage stakeholders to meet milestones, work through roadblocks and escalations where necessary

  • Accountable for Delivered on time (DOT) reporting - communicating results, understanding result drivers, driving for efficiency improvements by collaborating with 3PL

  • Accountable for inbound non-conformance reporting (NCR) and improvements - facilitating NCR process, managing drumbeat, understanding, and communicating RCAs and driving for improvements by collaborating with 3PLs and source plants.

  • Developing an understanding of cost management – goods receipting of invoices, PO management, developing an understanding of cost drivers and seeking efficiencies

  • Tracking detention and demurrage on inbound containers - communicating results, understand result drivers, driving for efficiency improvements, collaborating with deployment and export teams and 3PLs to drive for improvements.

  • 3PL Freight & Transport Relationship Management - ownership and maintenance of these relationships

  • Effective Transport Claims Management - E2E process co-owner - Daily management of claims in a timely and accurate manner and driving for elimination of losses.

  • Lead time management - Regularly monitoring lead time and reporting on variances to expectation and corrective action to be taken.

  • Inbound container management

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Experience in transportation and/or logistics and/or supply chain continuous improvement functions

  • Sound analytical and presentation skills to detail and substantiate process deviations and identified opportunities.

  • A high degree of conceptual thinking to grasp the larger logistics picture and find solutions out of the box.

  • Being able to communicate effectively and considerately toward internal and external customers and suppliers.

  • Comprehensive understanding of business principles in combination with a high degree of initiative

  • Knowledge of third-party logistics or logistics service provider operations

  • Understanding of the cost and loss drivers connected to transportation and logistics processes.

  • This is a Hybrid role with 3 days based in office and 2 days from home.
