Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will be placed in the Labeling, Processing, Facilities, or Cooker department based on their skills. The facility is FDA regulated and kept clean, with varying climates depending on the department. The role involves performing maintenance on batching equipment, mixers, tanks, cook kettles, pumps, valves, conveyors, belts, motors, and packaging equipment. The job is primarily mechanical with minimal electrical maintenance. This position is an entry-level maintenance position that requires a minimum of two relevant certifications (Welding, Robotics, Maintenance, Electrical, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on batching equipment, mixers, tanks, cook kettles, pumps, valves, conveyors, belts, motors, and packaging equipment.

• Handle mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.

• Conduct electrical maintenance involving sensors, switches, and changing out motors.

• Document work orders as required in an FDA regulated environment.

• Perform daily checklists of preventative maintenance.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills

• Comfortable with long-term 2nd or 3rd shift

• Possess two certificates or a technical degree

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance

• Certificates in any relevant field (Union), electrical knowledge

Work Environment

The facility is FDA regulated and ranges from hot, cold, to temperature controlled environments. Candidates are required to wear steel-toed boots, hair nets, beard nets, ear plugs, and white or blue coats. Adherence to hand washing policies is mandatory. Annual SQF and OSHA safety training is provided. The shifts are 2nd shift (12:00pm - 8:00pm) or 3rd shift (8:00pm - 4:00am) from Monday to Friday with possible overtime on weekends, often resulting in 50+ hours per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56888.00 - $56888.00/yr.
