Performs highly advanced computer application systems support work for a TxDOT department/division. Work involves coordinating and providing technical assistance for operational problems of information technology systems. Work involves performing complex help desk work, analysis of technical support activities and document resolutions. Work includes composing, documenting and editing content for division SharePoint and/or intranet sites. Work involves communicating technical information in person, electronically and via telephone. Work may require contact with the public. Employees at this level work independently on assignments with unusual issues referred to the supervisor.Essential Duties: Provides technical assistance troubleshooting software and hardware problems as well as problems involving office equipment such as phones, printers, and fax machines; escalates difficult problems to a higher level of support. Develops and updates technical support training documents for end users. Assist in providing technical support of systems applications Provide trouble shooting assistance to enhance the overall user experience Address issues and inquires promptly and effectively Monitor incoming technical support requests and responds to technical questions and issues in a timely manner.Coordinates the publication productions including layout preparation, publication design and selection and/or creation of graphics.Answers inquiries regarding specific areas of expertise.Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problemsProvides support to end users in a timely mannerPerforms other job responsibilities as assigned
