Your Impact at SAM The 2025 Summer Internship runs from May 19th - August 11th. Assist certified photogrammetrists and mapping professionals in planning, processing, calibrating, analyzing, and converting geospatial data, such as LiDAR and imagery, into high-quality aerial mapping products, including planimetric and topographic maps Process geospatial data daily, evaluating its accuracy and sufficiency while ensuring adherence to project and industry standards for aerial mapping products Classify LiDAR point clouds to enhance the precision and detail of geospatial data Compile mapping features from LiDAR point clouds to support comprehensive mapping efforts Model geospatial data in both time and space using advanced tools like MicroStation and Terrasolid software What You Bring to SAM Qualified candidates are undergraduate students or early career professionals enrolled in a program related to GIS, Survey, or related geospatial field GPA of 2.5 or higher Knowledge of CAD, LiDAR Classification, and GIS tools Desire and willingness to learn more about the Surveying industry and its technology Strong math and computer skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Our Perks Gain practical experience by working on diverse projects and contributing to impactful initiatives Receive mentorship from expert professionals, learning the technical skills for success Show off your SAM pride with exclusive SAM swag on your first day of the internship Embrace professional growth by joining our Intern Insights meetings with industry-leading experts throughout your internship Opportunity to work part-time after internship EEO SAM is an EOE/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V.
