Pappageorge Haymes Partners (https://www.pappageorgehaymes.com/) (PH) is a leading design and planning firm focused on architecture for a broad range of clients within the multifamily residential, adaptive reuse, mixed-use, hospitality and master planning sectors across the country.
The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the team, leading the project from feasibility and concept design through documentation and construction administration, all while building a strong repeat client base to support organizational growth. Ideally this candidate will have experience ranging from mid to senior level management. This position does allow for the flexibility of working remote and from the office.
Responsibilities:
Direct, coordinate and participate in schematic design through construction administration
Develop and maintain project work plans, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
Coordinate internal meetings for weekly tasks and project status updates
Serve as the primary contact for clients and consultants
Collaborate and coordinate with consultants from schematic design through construction administration
Conduct regular on-site visits, view prospective sites with clients, prepare observation reports, and respond to RFIs and submittals
Oversee and actively engage in daily design, programming, and technical development to meet project and client needs
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques
Conduct thorough agency review analyses, including accessibility, zoning, and life-safety evaluations
Participate in our mentorship program to support the growth of both junior staff and oneself
Actively engage in internal and external professional development opportunities
Able to take initiative and work independently
Job Requirements:
Professional Degree in Architecture
Licensed Architect or nearing licensure
3 - 8 years of professional experience with a focus on multi-family residential project types
Proficient in BIM / 3D Modeling software (ArchiCad preferred)
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to effectively manage and lead a team, project, budget, schedule and communication with clients and consultants
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while working on several projects simultaneously as either the project lead or in a production role
Knowledge of Building Codes (Chicago and IBC)
Strong design creativity and technical proficiency
