Oracle Sr Principal Technical Program Manager in Austin, Texas

Job Description

The Oracle Health team is building a team of highly analytical technical program managers to solve the critical and challenging problems that our customers face. In this role you will have the responsibility of ensuring that our customer’s business requirements are met.

Soft skills to motivate, direct without authority, mentor, and build bridges and relationships are a must. We are specifically looking for an experienced and customer centric technical program manager to join the Oracle Health Group. You will be responsible for managing complex, cross- organizational programs that impact both product and business for Oracle Health and will have exposure to multiple critical business initiatives. Our team is expanding, and a strong program management leader is needed. You display a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically.

Who are we looking for?

In this Senior Principal Technical Program Management role, you will be working across a multi-functional team that understands our business and its objectives, to lead us through planning and designing technical solutions to solve the business’s problems in a very agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The position relies heavily on influence rather than authority to drive projects.

You will define project scopes, plan and direct schedules while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.

You will monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. You will assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

You will collaborate closely with our partners in program and product management to understand our customers and build the right solutions and products that makes their needs and businesses complete.

You should possess exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and notable experience collaborating in hybrid teams. You are a self-starter technical leader with a shown ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new projects.

You have strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. You should be customer-focused with a passion for the cloud. You will partner closely with peers, developers, and customers to create solutions, while simultaneously evolving existing capabilities.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level.

  • Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.

  • Manage roadmaps among cross-functional teams as well as interrelated and independent application and / or infrastructure changes; track and report on program achievements.

  • Strong skills to evaluate operational performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues.

  • Support the leadership team in planning and executing the organizational roadmap and strategic initiatives

  • Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership.

  • Aptitude to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.

  • Solid grasp of the business side of technology with an understanding and zeal for metrics/analysis to deliver on business objectives.

  • Work as a lead contributor individually, and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others as needed/requested.

  • Drive other obligations management duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as hands-on technical project / program manager; preferably in a related industry.

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience (MS Preferred)

  • Must currently have a Top Secret Federal Security clearance appropriate for the job, which requires US Citizenship

  • Strong written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at different levels in the org, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Dedicated problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment

  • Judgement, maturity, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills and leadership skills

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $104,100 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
