Worcester Eisenbrandt Construction Assistant Project Manager in Baltimore, Maryland

Worcester Eisenbrandt (WEI) a construction company specializing in Historic Restoration is seeking you, the experienced

Assistant Project Manager .

Some of the position responsibilities are:

  • Interact with construction staff, contractors and equipment vendors

  • Assist in the oversight of multiple construction projects

  • Assist in reporting and following deadlines, scope of work and budgets

  • Source and coordinate materials and equipment according to project timeline

  • Maintain daily logs of assigned job sites.

  • Ability to read blue prints and other plan documents.

  • Assist in the supervision construction staff such as: carpenters, masons and pointers

  • Assist in sourcing sub-contractors and assign sub work accordingly

  • Prioritize operations and make changes in operations to meet deadlines.

  • At the direction of the Project Manager, create purchase orders consistent with the terms and conditions contained in the subcontractor bids, contract documents, according to Company policy.

  • Have the ability to make detailed list of the exact quantities of materials required for the project.  Comfortable with takeoffs. .

  • Experience with the change order process.

  • Position Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in commercial construction;

  • Previous construction management experience;

  • Historic preservation knowledge is a plus;

  • Proficiency with Excel software

    Comfortable with heights
