Job Title: Journeyman Plumber

Job Description

The Plumbing Mechanic will perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on piped utility systems and fixtures, as well as the piping and connections of equipment. This work is carried out under general supervision using the tools and techniques of plumbing technology. We are seeking a mechanic with significant experience in a position that offers substantial room for growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on piped utility systems and fixtures.

• Work on the piping and connections of various equipment.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within plumbing systems.

• Install and repair mechanical and electrical components related to plumbing.

• Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including power augers, pipe threaders, drills, grinders, and compressed air tools.

Shift: 3pm-11:30pm

Essential Skills

• Journeyman certification.

• HVAC knowledge.

• Facilities maintenance experience.

• Troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Proficiency in commercial building plumbing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma.

• Experience in commercial buildings.

Work Environment

Work is primarily based in a hospital shop and mechanical area environment, with exposure to dust, heat, cold, noise, and fumes. Duties may also be performed outdoors in extreme temperatures and other weather conditions. The role involves working within confined spaces, in awkward positions, and at heights of up to 30 feet using ladders, lifts, and other equipment. The job requires the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.64 - $37.32/hr.
