Johns Hopkins University Sr. Project Analyst in Baltimore, Maryland
We are seeking a Sr. Project Analyst who will be key personnel on one of our U.S. ED grants. This position assists Dr. Plucker in leading Project PTAL (Professional Transformation for Advanced Learning), with primary responsibility for advising on overall project strategy and activities, design and building of the project’s online professional learning modules and advising on the creation and implementation of the research and evaluation plans. In later years of the project, they will take the lead on dissemination of results via publications and conference presentations.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- This role will assist with development of professional development sessions and Project PTAL activities, that will produce the following results (deliverables)
oAttendance at project team meetings.
oCompletion of professional development modules.
oConsulting on research design and dissemination of results.
oParticipation in revision of PD modules throughout the project.
Participate as a member of collaborative study team in study design and analysis of data. Involved in discussions of next steps.
Oversee data collection at project sites.
Analyze data and contribute to writing draft or sections of manuscripts.
Present data at meetings.
Serve as knowledge expert and resource producing ideas and next steps for sub-studies.
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Curriculum design and implementation expertise, preferably as applied to gifted/advanced education.
Education research and evaluation expertise, preferably as applied to gifted/advanced education.
Expertise with professional development design.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in related discipline. Typically require PhD.
One year related experience. Require highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD with specialty in gifted/advanced education.
Significant K-12 teaching experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
