Amazon Technical Program Manager II, AWS Bedrock in Bangalore, India

Description

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

The mission of the Bedrock AI Data Team is to engineer the datasets critical to the success of AWS’s Bedrock services. From human evaluations to Responsible AI safeguards to Retrieval-Augmented Generation and beyond, these products make Generative AI enterprise-ready and safe for users, impacting millions of people every day. We are a group of language engineers, linguists, data scientists, data engineers, data associates and program managers, and we partner closely with the science, engineering, and product teams. We are customer obsessed and committed to delivering results with the highest quality and integrity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage Operational relationships with Applied Scientists, Engineering and Product teams to drive increased performance

  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases

  • Effectively interact and collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Applied Scientists and Product teams to define and deliver complex solutions

  • Proactively recognize and drive opportunities to simplify processes and make continuous improvements

  • Contribute to and influence technical designs

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities

  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery production support

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels

  • Create, maintain and disseminate program information to stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
