Job Overview The Sales Development Trainer is responsible for ensuring that the Customer Experience Community (Salespeople (both inside/outside), Customer Service (CSRs) and Account Management) are prepared to support the needs of our customers and emphasize Myer's Value Proposition. The SGT will also be responsible providing products and service training to incumbent employees across the organization. Duties and Responsibilities
Work in conjunction with the training director to create sales and customer support enablement tools and platforms
Develop and document the following for sales readiness training:
- Best Practices (Go to Market and Customer Service)
- Checklists
- Guidelines
- Processes
Recommend new training methods and content (including e-learning courses and game-based platforms)
- Problem Solving/Analysis
- Business Acumen (especially in the industry)
- Strategic Thinking
- Customer Advocate
- Clear understanding of sales processes and management of sales personnel
- Strong speaking, writing, presentation, relationship building and time management skills
- Ability to identify key clients in market and drive targeted growth
- Able to manage employees from afar
- Passion to learn and help team members succeed
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a salesperson / or 5 years in a field training role
- Customer locations
- Office environment (meeting and conference rooms)
- Expert at virtual environments
- Travel up to 80%
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Ability to travel via various modes of transport
