Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide skilled maintenance support. You will leverage your hands-on training and experience in skilled trades to perform repair, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation equipment and processes. Work will be assigned via the CMMS work order system or direction from supervision, and you must be able to utilize wiring diagrams, schematics, machine codes, manuals, and other technical instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of equipment such as heating, cooling, stamping, bending, forming, welding equipment, and electrical systems.

  • Test and tear down equipment to replace defective parts and components such as motors, clutches, gear trains, belts, hoses, or controls.

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation, and recommend required maintenance actions.

  • Direct helpers on repair projects and assist in training departmental employees.

  • Install or assist in the installation or relocation of equipment.

  • Perform work on any 277 and 480 systems.

  • Troubleshoot PLC with handheld or laptop devices.

  • Use pneumatic tools, grease guns, painting tools, forklifts, multi-meters, and common hand tools.

  • Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.

  • Experience with CMMS systems.

  • Basic use of hand tools and measuring and inspecting equipment.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics.

  • Experience performing assembly and disassembly.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose root causes of equipment problems.

  • Experience performing a variety of electrical tests, equipment disassembly, and replacing defective parts or connections.

  • Ability to reassemble equipment and test accordingly.

  • Experience installing and modifying equipment in accordance with local and plant codes.

  • Ability to diagnose pneumatic, hydraulic, servo-controlled automation systems.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits and modifying or preparing wiring diagrams.

  • Experience performing preventive maintenance activities and work orders.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working with diesel motors and heavy equipment is a plus.

  • Automotive background is a plus.

  • Robotics and welding experience is a plus.

  • Trade certifications are a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $74006.00 - $740006.00/yr.
