JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Planning Projects Manager (PP&L)

Department: PP&L

REPORTS TO: Planning Lead (UK & Oberdorf)

Job Description:

This position will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Plan processes at the Oberdorf site. This role will also be a key part of the network projects team and act as Plan representative for all activities related to the Oberdorf site. The role is also a key liaison between Plan and relevant cross functional teams e.g. Operations, Source, Quality, Projects.

Main Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for leading the Plan Organization for the Oberdorf site. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring OBE (Oberdorf) manufacturing build plans support high levels of customer service while maintaining minimum levels of inventory.

  • Provides leadership, coaching and management of the local Plan team, and is the single point of contact for supply escalations.

  • Implements and maintains production planning control systems, policies, processes, and procedures ensuring a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.

  • Leads, monitors, assesses, and communicates risks on key Plan activities e.g. PO management, Work Order management, Scheduling and Inventory. Provides regular updates to Senior Management on potential risk and mitigation plans.

  • Confirm that NRP, cMPS and Supplier Signal are aligned with latest requirements, inclusive of variants changes (e.g. EU MDR/reclass)

  • Supplier Management:

  • Lead the supplier issues resolution, driving cross functional accountability.

  • Recommend material safety stock actions to protect long lead-time times or underperformance risks.

  • Understand and partner with the Network Transformation team on supplier signal changes between FG Sites

  • Supplier OTIF analysis and weekly review of misses. Engaging with Source for appropriate support when supplier is not performing and to align on recovery plan actions.

  • Implement an automated and controlled procurement process from SEL to OBE (to enable achievement of cMPS commits)

  • Control Tower (Stem 3, Stem 4): drive escalation process in a pro-active manner working cross functionally to improve supply performance.

  • Network Projects – Conway:

  • Assess gap on current tasks roles & responsibility (legacy Synthes/Jabil) and prepare transformation for Conway.

  • Review current R&R draft.

  • Execution of tasks within PP&L responsibility

  • Leading the change process as required during the project e.g. eMP, Transport, production order, production planning.

  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and initiating activities on the project related to Supply Chain to ensure project deliverable dates and scope are met.

  • Responsible for managing finished goods, raw materials and WIP inventory levels in OBE.

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for the operation of Plan activities, ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are met.

  • Champions a positive employee environment by promoting open communication, engagement, and development of strong teams. Promotes a culture of inclusiveness, trust, flexibility, and teamwork in alignment with CREDO and Leadership Imperatives.

  • Implement a continuous improvement environment through a focus on execution excellence within the Plan function.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience – Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Project management tools and techniques

  • Experience in medical device operations/cGMP environment highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally in a GMP regulated environment.

  • A minimum of 5 years of People Management experience

  • Proven ability to successfully interact with other functions on projects that involve negotiation and collaboration with cross-functional peers and more senior management levels.

  • Experience leading and implementing change, including being able to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to develop communications that are properly structured providing clear, concise messages that draw well supported conclusions.

  • Proficient in English and German language

Desirable:

  • Masters in business administration / production / engineering / engineering management or similar

  • Experience of technology transfer and process optimization.

  • Formal training and certification in lean, 6σ, and/or process excellence methodologies.
