Job summary:

To implement and install MB Space Planning And Capacity Evaluation design solutions (shelving equipment) in restaurant chamber locations. To be the field based lead and support for the delivery of the SPACE strategy and process. To drive profitability through cost effective and optimised SPACE solutions.

Major duties & responsibilities:

  • Administration duties including storage area surveys, installation sign off documentation and workload reporting

  • Diarise installation workload for forward planning of equipment and fixture requirements. Ensuring ‘toolkit’ is well stocked at all times

  • Undertake chamber surveys that accurately reflect dimensions and configurations of restaurant back of house and storage spaces

  • Install equipment as per CAD planograms, executing real time solutions when issues identified

  • Relay chamber and stock rooms in accordance with design updates and customer quality requirements

  • Provide feedback to CAD Technician counterpart for identified issues or discrepancies with layouts and plans

  • Understand, record and report non-compliance and to work with restaurants on maintenance of space and merchandising standards

  • Train, explain and promote the mutual value of the SPACE process and solutions to the restaurant community

  • Optimise business costs and efficiencies with field based movements that are appropriate to the work required. Minimising duplicated visits and secondary activity through strong communication and proactive forward checks with the restaurants

    Essential knowledge, education, skills and experience

  • Experience in conducting detailed and documented site dimensional surveys across multiple sites and spaces

  • Experience of using and interpreting CAD plans and product planograms

  • Strong understanding of health and safety and safe working practices to ensure that everyone goes home safe

  • Hold, or have held, Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) green card

  • SEMA level training or experience of the installation of free-standing storage racking solutions and associated ancillary items

  • Proficient in the use of basic site tools and measuring equipment

  • Sound understanding of site working principles and relationships to ensure right first time delivery

Qualifications

Installations

  • Implement best in class SPACE CAD designs accurately and to budget reporting back issues arising from the implementation to the SPACE CAD designers

  • Relay chamber and stock rooms in accordance with design updates and MCD quality requirements

  • Apply the SPACE principles of implementation and best use of space

  • To sign off installations and solutions with the restaurant teams recording any dissatisfaction with a clear aftercare plan for resolution

  • To forward plan and schedule weekly activity in line with the SPACE calendar and roadmap

  • To optimise business costs and efficiencies with field based movements that are appropriate to the work required

  • To minimise duplicated visits and secondary activity through strong communication and proactive forward checks with the restaurants

  • Liaise with the Service team and MCD restaurant teams providing technical guidance on space solutions and installations

  • To develop a network of SPACE champions within the franchise community to promote and strengthen local relationships developing a reputation for excellent service, commitment and delivery

  • Work to improve perception and credibility of the team and service in all associated communication and activity

  • Actively review and maintain training and development materials to ensure they are up to date and relevant

    Key stakeholder interaction and engagement:

  • Field - Restaurant operations teams, Franchisees

  • Central - Service, RSP, Scheduling, Strategy

  • External - MCD construction, fixture suppliers

    Essential knowledge, education, skills and experience

  • Experience in conducting detailed and documented site dimensional surveys across multiple sites and spaces

  • Previous use of AutoCAD or knowledge of AutoCAD/store planning software

  • Experience of using and interpreting CAD plans and product planograms

  • Strong understanding of health and safety and safe working practices to ensure that everyone goes home safe

  • Hold, or have held, Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) green card

  • SEMA level training or experience of the installation of free-standing storage racking solutions and associated ancillary items

  • Proficient in the use of basic site tools and measuring equipment

  • Sound understanding of site working principles and relationships to ensure right first time delivery

  • Experience of regional site management and field based roles
