Liberty Paper Inc Senior E&I Technician in Becker, Minnesota

Description The Senior Electronics and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician works collaboratively and proactively on maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues and repair of machinery including electrical and instrumentation, controls, and logic, throughout our Paper Mill, Paper Coater, and our Effluent Treatment Plant. Thisfull-timeposition reports directly to the Sr Maintenance Supervisor and is located at Liberty Paper's manufacturing plant in Becker, MN. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely and efficiently troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems including but not limited to: PLC's, VFD drives & motor controls, and instrumentation & controls. Builds, troubleshoots and repairs logic systems & electrical circuits. Assists with conduit & wire installation, lighting repair, and hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission & conveyor systems troubleshooting and repair. Performs corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance including calibration, uses data collectors, testing & diagnostic tools during routine and extended outages. Mentors and coaches junior E&I Technicians to assist in their development. Serves as a point of contract on E&I related issues. Logs and reports issues, and provides feedback for long-term machine use, efficiency, and reliability. Participates in onsite training as required by the company. Assists in developing equipment reliability strategies including spare part stocking, PM optimization, and Predictive Maintenance (PDM). Communicates with operators while troubleshooting equipment. Helps run and organize the Controls & Logic Team (CLT). Supports all projects as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Formal technical/trade school training (or applicable/equivalent experience) in Electrical/Instrumentation Technology. 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience required; Pulp and Paper industry experience preferred. Ability to communicate with technical specialists and to interpret technical/blueprint drawings and specification documents. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Demonstrated strong electrical and instrumentation proficiency with an aptitude for Mechanical. Ability to communicate with technical specialists and to interpret technical/blueprint drawings and specification documents. Strong leadership skills- ability to lead, coach and mentor others. Strong organization and communication skills. Self-motivated with great follow-up skills and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Strong decision-making ability, including the ability to anticipate problems, develop contingency plans and act quickly to resolve issues. Adaptable to changes in business requirements in a fast-paced environment. Relationship Builder - ability to work with all levels within the organization; professionally represents self and LPI to external contacts. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The starting pay rate for this position is $47.00 per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
