Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities

  • Be the single point of contact for the customer to enhance technical communications between customer and Tyco Electronics engineering, product management and sales teams

  • Provide technical presentation, training and support to the customer

  1. Understand their technology trend and future product requirement as a result of regulatory and standards evolution;

  2. Provide voice of customer for engineering team in developing new products;

  3. Capture the opportunity in its earliest stage that a Tyco Electronics product can be designed in;

  4. Propose practical solutions which can be designed into a specific product by interpreting and conveying customer’s design specifications / requirement to engineering team;

Experience & Education Required

  • Minimum of 5 year engineering experience preferably in Telecom industry.

  • Familiar with CAD tools such as Pro-E, Solid-works, etc.

  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.

  • Good English communication skill to interact with a multi-functional global team.
