Deschutes Brewery Pub Distribution Coordinator in Bend, Oregon

Full Time | 23.69-27.30 per hour Pay starts at $23.69 - $27.30 per hour depending on previous experience, skills and education/certifications. The Pub Distribution Coordinator is responsible for safely orchestrating logistics including transportation and delivery of materials and product between Deschutes Brewery, the pubs and tasting rooms in the Bend and Portland area. This role is also responsible for picking up raw materials from vendors and returning them to the Brewery.

Pay starts at $23.69 - $27.30 per hour depending on previous experience, skills and education/certifications. This position offers a career path up to $35.02/hour for our employees who successfully complete our internal training program and hold several years of experience driving for us. Additionally, we offer a $3.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 6pm and 6am and additional opportunities for wage increases are also associated with cross-training, promotional opportunities and a $5/hour increase for OTR (over the road) driving.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform four weekly pub runs in Bend and Portland, driving from the plant facility to the pubs

  • Perform two weekly tasting room deliveries.

  • Perform all duties safely and efficiently and follow all safety guidelines of the department

  • Represent Deschutes Brewery in the utmost professional matter while performing duties on the road, off-site, and when dealing with internal/external customers

  • Maintain a clean driving record and maintain forklift certification

  • Follow all ODOT regulations and laws including winter chains, DOT logs, and Scale crossing when applicable

  • Follow all identified process workflows including QA and GMP procedures

  • Just Foods ERP power user for functions directly related to manufacturing facility distribution

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

    Other Functions:

  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment and manage your own workload

  • Excellent communication skills

  • High attention to detail, quality, and the ability to "Own It"

  • The ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks at a time with a high level of accuracy

  • A solid understanding of load configurations including weight distribution and equipment requirements

  • Work with the Brewing teams for needed materials

    Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, trade, or business school or equivalent

  • A high level of skill with Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • The ability to work across a dynamic co-owner environment/cross-department environment

  • Class C driver's license with the ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL license in 6 months (Deschutes Brewery has reimbursement options available for those pursuing a CDL license)

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning or a Warehouse Management system

  • Experience operating in a Supply Chain manufacturing environment

  • Class A CDL

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds repeatedly and 75 pounds with a team lift

  • Work in controlled temperatures ranges from 29 degrees to 60-degree Fahrenheit

  • Computer usage for 35%+ of shift
