Department Description:

Corporate Tools Engineering (CTE) team, part of our Oracle’s SaaS Operations group , designs, develops, implements, maintains and upgrades the applications that Oracle requires to meet it's constantly evolving business requirements and to support customers, and provides a showcase for Oracle's products. The team also develops and maintains applications used by the Product Development and Support organization and influences the direction and strategy for Oracle's products through collaborative and often groundbreaking involvement in implementation.

Job Description:

As a member of the CTE team, you will be involved in analyzing the requirements working closely with the product management / business team, prepare technical design, and perform development & unit testing to successfully implement key applications used by the entire Product Development and Customer Services Organizations.

From the technology stand-point you will work with Oracle’s world-class technology that includes the latest version of Oracle Database, SQL & PLSQL, Middleware, Application Development Frameworks involving Java/ADF, JavaScript, Web Services, JS Frameworks etc.

Handle the work you're doing independently and deliver quality solution adhering to the defined timelines within the defined policies and procedures. Candidate will investigate, estimate, document, design and implement changes to new and existing software architectures.

Should have 3 to 10 years of work experience in design, development/customization, implementation and support of web based Database Applications , and should be proficient in UI Development , PL/SQL , and modern UI Frameworks . Knowledge of Oracle APEX is a plus.

Strong skills and hands on experience in some of the areas like Data Modeling, Application Design, Oracle Database (SQL, PLSQL), Performance Tuning .

Knowledge/Experience in Sophisticated Oracle Database Technologies like Oracle Streams & Advanced Queuing, Edition Based Redefinition will be a plus.

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and AI Models is much solicited.

• Knowledge of mobile application development (native / browser based) will be a plus as well.

• Knowledge of Chef, Jenkins, Ruby on rails, Puppet is added advantage

• Should be able to participate in technical designs, recommend solutions, follow best design and coding practices and also provide technical assistance to the team.

• Willingness to learn new things and ready to work on some highly transparent and critical applications.

• Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal are required.

• Candidate should have outstanding analytical, debugging and fixing skills.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
