We are seeking sixteen farmworkers for general farm labor involving the hand harvest of peaches, sweet cherries, cucumbers, hard squash, sweet corn, eggplant, bell pepper, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, red beets, bunched greens, summer squash, apples, and other vegetables. Job responsibilities include: - Seeding organic vegetables and watering plants in hoop houses and fields - Transplanting vegetables into fields - Hand weeding and using tools - Harvesting vegetables and fruit (by hand, tractor, and mule train) - Thinning fruit trees by hand - Grading, sorting, and packing fruit and vegetables - Loading and unloading trucks - Laying and removing plastic mulch - General cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of equipment and facilities, including minor repairs Requirements: - Ability to lift 50 lbs - 3 months of verifiable experience with organic farming - For those with a driver's license, transportation of produce from the field to the packing shed and market (non-CDL) Work location: Berrien and Van Buren counties, Michigan.

Work schedule is generally 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
